Justice Arthur Engoron, who ruled against former President Donald Trump in a $350 million fraud case, received a threatening letter with white powder.
The incident occurred at the New York City courthouse and prompted an emergency response, although the judge and his staff were not directly exposed to the substance due to pre-screening measures.
Two individuals, a court officer and a court employee, came into contact with the powder but were not harmed.

Everyone in his office is safe.
It comes on the same day that Trump's lawyers filed a motion to stay Engoron’s $464 million dollar judgement which they say is “unprecedented and punitive”
Judge Engoron has faced multiple threats, including a bomb threat at his home and a barrage of threats after public criticism from Trump on social media.
The threats have been taken seriously, with court officials coordinating with the FBI and Homeland Security to implement security measures for the judge, his staff, and his family.
The verdict against Trump, which has now swelled to over $464 million with pre-judgment interest, has heightened tensions, as evidenced by similar threatening envelopes sent to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Donald Trump Jr. The situation underscores the volatile atmosphere surrounding high-profile legal actions against political figures.
